First off, we want to thank all of our wonderful customers for making 2019 an amazing year! We would not be the business we are today without every one of you. Cara's is a locally owned boutique that runs on the support of our community!
Thank you all again for shopping local and lets start 2020 with a bang!
A new year means a new set of goals!
The new year is always a refreshing time for me because I look at it as a blank slate. A time to start fresh. This year is hitting even harder because it is the beginning of a decade.
A fresh start for me looks like a change of environment, a change of pace, a new place I get to call home.
Yes, I MOVED! I am so excited and the best part about the move is that I am within walking distance to the store! This also means I do not have any valid excuses as to why I should be late to work.
......but I have managed to still run late but we don't have to get into that.
2020 trends are totally my vibe and I already have incorporated them into my decor!
Fashion trends from home decor to apparel are all about the 60's and 70's prints and patterns. From florals and butterflies to crochet and macramè.
I personally am very into neutral colors and different shades of orange.
Butterflies are a big part of 2020 for me, because it resembles change and growth. Embracing change is one of my biggest goals for this year.
Here are some of my favorite spaces in my house!
The basket wall is one of my favorite things in the house. It is a total blast from the past but that is right up my alley. I can't count how many times my mom has told me "OMG I had that!"..... which is annoying because it would be even better if it was vintage.
My 2020 Goals:
1. Drink More water!!
I am totally weird and if I have a cute cup to drink out of, I will drink way more water. So I just went to the store and got myself cute mason jars and straws. Now I have the materials, I should have no problem...wishful thinking.
2. Journal things I am grateful for.
I think it is so easy to get caught up in the day to day dramas, it becomes super easy to lose sight of what is really important. Going back to my #1 goal, there are so many people who don't even have clean drinking water. Writing down what I am grateful for will help me in my day to day life and keep me grounded. Now, you already know I need a cute journal and cute pens!
I feel the best when I am up and moving. I am the laziest in the winter and have zero motivation. When it is cold out I want nothing more than to cuddle up on my couch and call it a night.
What are your goals?! I think starting off the year with goals is very important because it will set a tone for how your year will go. It is also super important to set realistic goals so you don't let yourself down if you cant reach those unattainable goals.
On another note, we are going to market next week! We will be learning about all of the upcoming trends for 2020 spring and fall. Stay tuned for my next blog post all about what we found at market and what you can be expecting to see at Cara's!
